OnePlus will hold a virtual event on March 23, where we expect to learn more about the OnePlus 9 series. It seems that the OnePlus Watch (not the confirmed name) is also making its long-awaited debut.

Fans have been waiting for years for the company to launch the OnePlus Watch. Something almost came to life years ago, but the project was eventually put in the background. Reports about OnePlus making a smartwatch resurfaced last year, prompting the company to confirm that they would arrive in early 2021.
“A lot of you said you want a watch, and as you’ve heard over the weekend – we’re making one to release early next year,” said Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus.
Lau’s confirmation follows a report claiming that OnePlus is working closely with Google to “improve the connectivity between the Wear OS ecosystem, Android TV and Android smartphones to create this capability for better interoperability between devices in the ecosystems.”
OnePlus offers a robust ecosystem of devices, including smartphones, TVs, earbuds and a fitness tracker. One of the biggest missing pieces at the moment is the OnePlus Watch, and it’s going to take a matter of days before we get it.

The prospect of a OnePlus Watch is certainly exciting, but it remains unclear how the wearable will stand out to the crowd. Improved interoperability between multiple devices is one way it can compete against other options, which is why we remain intrigued. But we will know nothing before it is officially announced on March 23rd.
OnePlus does not disclose any information in its Tweet except to confirm when it will be launched. Chances are high that we will see the portable break cover before the upcoming event. But if nothing appears before, we will bring all the information along with the OnePlus 9 series announcement.
