- OnePlus has revealed that the OnePlus 9 Pro 50W will offer wireless charging speeds.

OnePlus was one of the first brands to adopt faster charging technology, and we saw great progress last year with the OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8T. Now the company has revealed what we can expect from the OnePlus 9 series when it comes to top-ups.
The BBK brand noted in a forum post that the OnePlus 9 Pro will be equipped with Warp Charge 50 Wireless technology, which will deliver 50W wireless charging speeds. It provides a significant upgrade on paper over the 30W charging of the OnePlus 8 Pro and connects it to the Xiaomi Mi 11.
OnePlus adds that this speed upgrade means you can charge your OnePlus 9 Pro wirelessly from zero to 100% in 43 minutes. The company also said it will release a new wireless charging block that includes two charging coils, allowing you to charge in portrait or location directions. Unfortunately, the company did not mention the wireless charging details for the standard OnePlus 9, which indicates that it will have much lower speeds or will not have wireless charging capabilities. However, both phones will be equipped with wired charging capabilities of 65 W, which is similar to last year’s OnePlus 8T.
The OnePlus 9 series offers several hardware customizations and software optimizations to deliver improved charging speeds over last year’s phone. OnePlus says that the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro will take 29 minutes to go from 1% to 100% capacity, and then 10 minutes download of the OnePlus 8T’s charging time.
In case you were wondering, the manufacturer also revealed that the 65W charger is included in the packaging. And it has confirmed that you can use the in-box charger to power the 50W wireless charging block.
