One hour of Baron Zemo’s dance

You know what it’s like: you’re an international terrorist with a love of complicated and complicated plans, and you’m finally out of jail. (By promising some of your most hated enemies, you willem with their other most hated enemies, natch.) You enjoy doing a lot of things, trading crap, sobbing knowingly, and are just a real classic Hannibal Lector type … and that’s when you feel the size. If you’re Helmut Zemo, a criminal master and strange guy, you have no choice: it’s time now Falcon and the Winter Soldier as we dance.

Baron Zemo’s dance steps were one of the most discussed aspects of the third episode of Disney +’s new superhero thriller, which sees the villain snatching loose on a Madripool dance floor, for a definition of ‘loose’ that involves a lot of nodding, restrained rogue and extremely awkward little slaps. The short moment has been expanded and expanded on the internet since ‘Power Broker’ started, and now Marvel Studios has got the fun.

And while nothing normally kills a meme faster than getting a copyright holder into the conversation to go into ‘the fun’, we have to admit that Disney’s contribution is pretty amusing: a full hour of Daniel Brühl (which improvised all the movements of Helmut) cut a mat repeatedly. Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes may not enjoy the Bad Baron move, but fans of his style will be able to repeat it at ease.
