The rocket attacks in northern Syria near the Turkish border killed one person and injured at least eleven others on Friday, Turkish state media and a source of the Turkish-backed faction controlling the region said.
Explosions have shaken local oil refineries near the villages of al-Bab and Jarablus, which have sparked major fires, a witness and the Anadolu news agency of Turkey said.
The source in the national army, which controls the parts of northwestern Syria where Turkish troops are present, said missiles caused the explosions and wounded eleven people.
Anadolu said it was ballistic missiles and that it was not clear who carried out the strikes, which he said injured 18 people.
Turkey supported fighters who wanted to overthrow Bashar al-Assad, but the Syrian president, with Russian and Iranian help, drove the rioters back into a bag in the northwest of the country.
