Florida and Oklahoma have only met once in their history: the 2009 BCS Championship Game. Despite the Sooners being the no. Had 1 offense in the country, the Gators defense controlled the game in a 24-14 victory for their third national title. This year, it is Florida that has one of the best offenses in college football with the No. 1 game in the country. After a quarter, however, the passing game went nowhere as the Sooners had a 17-3 lead.
The big story was the three intercepted by quarterback Kyle Trask. Trask throws five picks over the course of the entire season, but a combination of pressure, poor decisions and a new group receiving the new look caused the mistakes. With Kyle Pitts, Kadarius Toney, Jacob Copeland and Trevon Grimes, the Gators miss two-thirds of their production. Either way, Trask did not play well and the protection he received before did not help. The good news for the Gators is that they have the powerful offense of getting behind – if their team can sum it up in a hurry.
