Ohio State’s women’s basketball beats undefeated Michigan and Maryland, takes the best place in the ten biggest positions

The Buckeyes sit on top of the Big Ten.

After some big wins over Michigan and Maryland that were previously undefeated, the Ohio State women’s basketball team is now at the top of the Big Ten leaderboard.

The Buckeyes delivered their first defeat of the season to the Wolverines on Thursday, beating their rivals 81-77, despite a 50-point program record of Michigan forward Naz Hillmon.

The state of Ohio followed up the victory with another impressive victory Monday night and won the no. 7 beat Maryland 88-86 to occupy first place in the Big Ten and give the Terrapins their first loss of the season.

With the two wins, the Buckeyes are now 9-1 on the season with the lone loss that was on the way against Nebraska last week. The impressive start to the season was a team effort with five players scoring the double figures of the season.

Ohio State is led offensively by guard Jacy Sheldon, who averages 17.7 points per game. Sheldon is not far behind followed by forward Dorka Juhasz, who scored a double double on the season with 16.3 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. Madison Green, Aaliyah Patty and Braxtin Miller also all averaged double figures, scoring 14.0, 11.9 and 10.6 points per game, respectively.

However, the Buckeyes will not have much time to achieve this victory, as they are now facing rugby matches against no. 16 Indiana and no. 23 Northwest ventured.
