Ohio police officer fatally shot dead by arson

An Ohio police officer has died after a shooting incident with a suspect, the Toledo police station said Monday.

Chief George Kral identified the officer as 24-year-old Brandon Stalker. According to Kral, Stalker was once hit by the suspect, who swung two firearms as he left a house he entered after a conversation with police.

“This is a very dark and horrible day for the city of Toledo,” Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz told a news conference.
