Obsidian says it cannot repair Pillars of Eternity port on Nintendo Switch

Pillars of eternity, The epic role-playing game from Obsidian Entertainment, first released in 2015, will no longer be pasted on the Nintendo Switch. Versus Evil further noted that ‘this will leave behind problems reported to us’, a reference to certain features of the game that do not work as expected.

Since its launch in 2017, the Nintendo Switch has attracted a surprising number of computer strategy games, including many CRPG titles such as the nearly 25-year-old Baldur’s Gate. Meanwhile, more modern games – including AAA action games like Control and Hitman 3 – adopted a cloud-based model that flows into the game console to the hybrid console via a network connection.

Obsidian, perhaps best known for his work on Fallout: New Vegas, was recently acquired by Microsoft. As Pillars of eternity, many of his previous titles – including the award-winning first person RPG The outer worlds – remains the full property of the studio.
