The Conference of the Dominican Episcopate (CED) commemorates the 100th anniversary of the canonical coronation of Nuestra Senor de la Altagracia.
In his Pastoral Charter entitled “Our Senora of the Altagracia: a Rule of God in the Dominican People”, the bishops recounted the history of the appearance of the Virgin of the Altagracia to explain that “a young man is called” the Niña ‘, centers on his aspirations in the adornos that embellish the youth, sin in the love and devotion to the Madre del Cielo, which in Suene is the habit of giving to the “Altagracia”.

About the Pastoral Map and the Message
It is one of the official documents of the CED, where the bishops are directed specifically to the Catholic Church, addressing a doctrinal, catechetical, pastoral and theological theme.
Its publication takes place on the occasion of the celebration of the New Senora of the Altagracia, protector of the Dominican people, celebrated every 21 years.
On the other hand, the document called “Message” and which was published in February, on the occasion of the National Independence, was aimed at dealing with national interest issues, presenting the opinion pieces of political and social character to all Dominicans.
