The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti has been confirmed again by another card manufacturer. In an entry in the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), noted by VideoCardz, Gigabyte revealed that it has several versions of the 3080 Ti – an upgraded version of the RTX 3080 – in the works.
This follows after Asus accidentally leaked its own 3080 Ti models on its own website. Gigabyte has also listed a number of RTX 3060 models, which further confirms that this new graphics card is on the way as well.
To sum up, the 3080 Ti is a high-end GPU that will sit between the 3080 and the top-of-the-line 3090. Gigabyte’s product codes support previous leaks and rumors that the 3080 Ti will contain 20 GB of GDDR6X memory. , again sits between the 3080s 12GB and the 3090s 24GB.
Interestingly, the 3060 with 12 GB of memory is listed in all the Gigabyte models: it is 4 GB more than the 3060 Ti he would see below in Nvidia’s overall hierarchy.
Unfortunately, this latest leak reveals nothing more about a potential price or release date of RTX 3080 Ti. It is unlikely that Nvidia will want to be much higher than the $ 999 of AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT, although it will surely land between the $ 700 3080 and $ 1,500 3090.
Hopefully, this will make a valuable compromise for those who want top-quality 4K gaming power, without spending more on the surplus memory of the 3090, which is used more for creative and design work. And speaking of hope, it would be nice if these cards were easier to buy than the almost permanently sold out 3080.
As for when we can expect to see the 3080 Ti and 3060 in an official capacity, Nvidia is holding a game-oriented live rally on January 12, but does not expect the new GPUs to go on sale here and there: current reports suggests that at least the release date of 3080 Ti will only take place after the Chinese New Year (February 11-17).
