(CNN) – Although mediators are agitating in Brazilian hospitals, a cost increase in the number of patients that can be forced to return to covid-19 patients should increase the number of medicines used for intubation.
Coronavirus cases are prevalent in Brazil and the health systems of the country are already more abrupt. In all Brazilian states, occupancy rates in intensive care units (UCI) are 80% or more. Some UCIs are at 90% more, and others have surpassed 100% occupancy, which obliges hospitals to return some patients.
Local governors, officials and local medical staff say that they are being summoned by their ministers to treat patients including covid-19 and those who have been assigned to UCI’s disputes. In the coastal city of Sao Sebastiao, in the state of Sao Paulo, the Alcalde Felipe Augusto has this week a public publicity stunt to obtain more governors of the state government.
