SAN ANTONIO (AP) – Rest assured, “Chucky” is not loose.
The Texas Department of Public Safety has apologized after erroneously issuing an Amber Alert stating that the murder doll who appeared in the 1988 horror film “Child’s Play” was a suspect in the kidnapping of his five-year-old son, Glen Ray. in “Seed of Chucky.”
The emergency alert described Chucky as a 3-foot doll, 1 centimeter long (0.9 meters long), wearing a “blue denim overall with multicolored striped long-sleeved shirt with a large kitchen knife.”
The warning was incorrectly sent to Amber Alert subscribers three times last week. The agency said it was a testing function.
