His money price is in the toilet!
A college student in Norway pissed his pants on camera to win a crazy $ 5,000 match – but the money was seized by customs officials and he never saw a cent of it, he told the Post.
“It’s wrong to take the money I worked for,” said Dan Holt, a 23-year-old from Haugesund. “I was questioned by the police, but I can not take the blame for this.”
Holt first heard of the so-called ‘5,000 challenge’ that Finnish sunglasses company Nopeet held on Instagram in November, he said.
The firm encouraged participants to film themselves with the most “insane” trick possible and then say “Nopeet made me do it!” and post the footage along with a company hat brand, according to a report announcing the contest.
“I thought I was going to give it a try,” Holt said, adding that he needed the money. “It sounded nice and I would like to put myself forward.”
To win, Holt dressed as Santa Claus and took a tobacco to a local mall, then threw it up and rode his bike in an icy river. Later, he shot footage of himself as he peed his pants in the mall while bystanders yelled.
“Everyone’s jaws have fallen,” he said. ‘People were like the f – k going on? But the whole point was to do the craziest thing. ‘
He posted the wild footage on Instagram and learned on January 5 that he had won and would receive cash by mail from the company.
For a dramatic effect, the firm stops the money in a Bible and asks him to film himself to open it, Holt said.
But Norwegian Customs seized the “sketchy” package and Holt was later questioned by Haugesund police for failing to declare a large sum of money, Holt said.
Nopeet quickly defended himself and posted a photo of the cash-laden Bible on Instagram, along with the caption “It’s INCREDIBLE!”
“Norwegian authorities did not take part in the #NopeetMadeMeDoIt challenge and are now trying to steal the prize money belonging to @igordieseltv by confiscating it. This is INJUST! If they wanted the prize money, they had to take part in the challenge, ‘the firm said.
The company added: ‘Our lawyers are already working to sue the Norwegian authorities. ‘
Holt now says he simply wants his hard-earned money.
“I did not do anything illegal. “I was just the winner of the competition,” he said. ‘It’s a lot of money for me. It will help me to move forward in life. ”
He added: “I now know I have to declare money – but that’s probably the only lesson I learned … Doing the videos was still fun.”
Norwegian Customs and Haugesund police did not immediately return a request for comment on Thursday.
