MID-HUDSON – Mother Nature dumped up to two feet of snow in the region Monday through Tuesday morning.

New York was in a state of emergency on Monday, meaning only essential services on roads were allowed.

The Metro North Railroad service, which was suspended Monday afternoon, resumed on the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven lines at 4 p.m.

Snow continued to fall overnight with an additional accumulation of three to seven inches.
