North Carolina reported 11,518 cases on Saturday, breaking the previous daily record of 10,398 cases.

To date, 614,355 cases of coronavirus have been reported in the states.

The number of deaths reported on Saturday was 97, which is not a record, but the average number of new deaths is at its highest ever at 76.

Countries prepared for increase in COVID mortality rates

Hospitalizations across the state are off Friday, with more than 3,800 people in the hospital. 7,425 North Carolinas have died from COVID since March.

Doctors have said they find these numbers worrying, and we should not deny the impact of the virus on the state.

State leaders have given the green light to move on to the next phase of COVID vaccinations. These include Triangle provinces, such as Wake, which are ready to vaccinate people in the group of 75 years and older.

“We want to get thousands and thousands and thousands of people who are at risk, who are being vaccinated older, as soon as possible,” said Dr. David Wohl, a specialist in infectious diseases at the UNC Medical Center, said.

Wohl said older people filling ICUS in hospitals and people at greatest risk of catching COVID remain a priority for health workers.

General hospitals, coronavirus in hospital

Doctors said if you wait to be vaccinated, stay patient.

“A phased approach makes sense.” Wohl explains. “We can not just vaccinate everyone in the country at once, so I think it makes sense to give to the health workers first, learn how to do it and get older people,”

He added that he hopes to see the coronavirus peak take place so that we will eventually see deaths, admissions and admissions and hospitalizations.
