Corona (California) Centenary Defensive Linebacker Korey Voorman has just announced its commitment to USC.
It was a whirlwind recruitment that became the full player of the country’s top player in the 247Sports Composite.
USC was the first dream school and team to beat when we first spoke to Foreman after his freshman year. Foreman finally committed to Clemson in February of his junior year and after a setback he looked like a lean from Georgia and LSU.
The state of Arizona also made a strong run, but in the end Foreman decided to stay home and be a Trojan.
“USC has always felt like a home to me,” Foreman said. ‘I grew up here and know everything about this place and about the school. At the end of the day, these are my roots and I have a very strong comfortable level with everyone at USC. ”
Foreman said looking at USC on the field this year played a big role in his decision.
‘The biggest selling point for me with USC was the improvement I saw this year from a year ago, “Foreman said.” You can know that the new staff has an impact and that you are on the right track.
“They may not always have won every game well, but the reality is that they have won many games, and that’s important. I think you can see how the team came together and when we enter class, I think we can take the program back to where it belongs. ”
One thing we always said about Foreman was development, would be a big part of his decision. It’s no secret that the ideal path for Foreman would be to play three years before going to the NFL, so it would find a school that could prepare him and make him better.
“I think the improvement on the defensive line was great,” Foreman said. ‘I see guys coming out of the blue, guys who were under the radar and are now NFL prospects. I think the attitude of the whole team is to be constantly good and that is important to me.
“Of course I’ve been watching Drake (Jackson) closely for the past two years and he’s been frolicking. He looks good and this is my husband there. I enjoyed my second year playing with him, and we played a lot of success against each other. can not wait to play with him again. ‘
The USC coaching staff was relentless about how hard they also chased Foreman.
“I’m very attached to all the staff there,” Foreman said. ‘Donte Williams is my husband and the one I’m closest to, but you have a coach Vic (So’oto) who is wonderful and natural Clay Helton was there with me from day one.
“I talk to those guys every day and they recruit me very hard. They made me a big priority, even when I focused on Clemson. You could see that they did not want the top player in the country to leave home. and they did an excellent job with me all year.
Foreman actually signed with the Trojans during the early signing period before becoming known earlier today. He originally planned to study early, but he will complete his spring semester and enroll at USC in the fall.
