Nokia Corp. said on Monday that it had entered into an agreement with dtac in Thailand to provide 5G services in the north and northeast of the country.
The telecommunications equipment manufacturer said that as part of the agreement, which is an extension of the Nokia partnership with Thailand’s dtac, it will ensure the network performance of the 5G operator is ready and enable a faster implementation of 5G services.
The agreement will last three years and the service deployment is expected to be completed in 2022.
Nokia will also provide its AirScale Radio Access solutions for 4G and 5G networks to dtac, which is intended to improve overall network performance, he said.
As part of the deal, the Thai telecommunications company will also use Nokia’s network management system, the company said.
