Galatasaray want to get rid of Radamel Falcao but no club wants to sign him, not in Europe or in South America.
His high salary and injury record, with five in the past 18 months, has deterred a number of potential suitors.
River plate was one of the youngest clubs linked, and ESPN said they had made contact with the Colombian forward, but they denied any interest.
“Falcao is a very important brand for us and for world football, he had an unfortunate period,” Abdurrahim Albayrak, Vice President of Galatasaray, insisted.
“Now we are waiting for his injury to pass.
“For now there are no official offers, but when it comes down to it, we first share it with our coach and decide how to manage it. Falcao is a very valuable football player for us.”
