No level changes for local countries, a few more COVID cases

State blueprint to reopen: California’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy updated the Tier commands today and local provinces stayed where they were. Tuolumne and Mariposa are currently in the Orange Tier, a less restrictive level than Calaveras and Stanislaus in the Red Tier. Governor Gavin Newsom said the Blueprint system could disappear completely by June 15 if cases continue to decline and the number of vaccinations continues to rise. The State’s framework for the week ending April 3 for Tuolumne was 2.7 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, slightly higher than 2.5 cases and a 1.8% positive percentage of 1.2%. . Calaveras’ rate rose to 2.7 from 7.1 and a test positivity rate of 5.5% from 4.1%.

Tuolumne County – Tuolumne Public Health reports two new COVID cases, a woman aged 18 to 29 and a man aged 80 to 89. No cases are currently being admitted to hospital, six are active. Tuolumne County has a total of 4,058 cases, spread over 2,642 community cases and 1,416 prisoner cases in the Sierra Conservation Center (SCC). There are currently no active COVID-19 positive inmates in the prison. Total community cases released from isolation are 2 722 and the total number of tests administered is 86 911. The provincial report contains a list of 32167 vaccine doses administered in Tuolumne.

Tuolumne Public Health recommends getting vaccinated, wearing a mask, washing your hands, doing physical distance, avoiding crowds and not going to work or school if sick people continue to provide low protection for every person, their loved ones and for the community as the province is open in less restricted levels and more activities.

Calaveras County – The Calaveras public health report had four new cases of COVID-19, with the total cases of the province at 2,045 and active cases at two to 14 and the increases at two to 1,978. No residents of Calaveras with COVID are admitted to the hospital. In total, there were 949 men, 1,078 women and 18 with no sex infected with COVID-19. The total number of people over the age of 65 identified with COVID is 445 since the start of the pandemic. Calaveras reports 25,837 vaccinations.

Mariposa County – Mariposa reported today on a new case of an 88-year-old woman infected by person-to-person. Mariposa has three active cases and one resident is currently in hospital with COVID. Mariposa achieved 417 total positive results and is still in the Orange area.

Vaccines – Individuals should register on MyTurn at https://myturn.ca.gov to be notified of upcoming vaccination clinics and to schedule appointments. You can also call 833-422-4255. The clinic of Tuolumne Public Health is scheduled for April 22nd is open for appointments by MyTurn, Calaveras Public Health has been using the system for over a month and Mariposa is using it now as well. Comments on public health until April 15de, appointments will be limited to April 15 to eligible groups in the country: age 50+, 16-64 years with health conditions and identified sectorsde when the suitability is available to everyone of 16+ (Pfizer), 18+ (Moderna or Janssen). Test: The Mother Lode Fairgrounds test site is open Sunday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., closed Friday and Saturdays. The Groveland site is on Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Youth Center, 18950 Hwy 120.
