NJ man hospitalized for J&J COVID-19 vaccine on ventilator

The daughter in New Jersey who was admitted to the hospital with COVID-19 after receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine was placed in a ventilator on Friday, his daughter told The Post.

Francisco Cosme (52) – who fell ill despite getting the jab five weeks earlier – was unconscious when his daughter, Michelle Torres, saw him fleetingly during a FaceTime call on Friday morning.

“He is not doing too well now. The doctors said it was only up to his body to go on, ‘says Torres, her voice trembling with emotion.

“He is not conscious, we are just looking at him,” she said.

Torres, who is not allowed to visit her father in the hospital because she also has COVID-19, said her family is sad about his deteriorating health.

‘It is very; you pray and want the best. And it made a bad turn, ‘she said.

Cosme, who is diabetic, was placed in a ventilator at 5 a.m. Friday, but the ‘oxygen level’ on the machine is not where it should be, she said.

Cosme began experiencing coronavirus symptoms for the first time on April 1, including cough and chills, after receiving the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine at the Javits Center on March 6. He was rushed to John F. Kennedy Medical Center last week. , where he is still being treated.

Torres said she now wants Johnson & Johnson to do more research on the vaccine – and that people can still be admitted to hospital with the coronavirus, even after they have had the chance.

According to her daughter Michelle Torres, Francisco Cosme has been placed on a fan and is not doing too well now.

Kelly said she received a CVS in Clementon on March 11 and initially felt well.

“Three weeks later I had a cold, I had an earache,” said Kelly, who works at a private school. “I lost my smell and taste. I have bad cough and shortness of breath. ”

She tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, although she was fit and healthy, she said.

“I’ve been in bed for two weeks now,” she says, adding that her cough has not yet disappointed.

‘[It’s] surprising. I knew Johnson & Johnson was not as effective as the other two. Yet I am young, healthy and in shape. ”
