NJ COVID update: 105-year-old survives coronavirus and gives longevity advice

OCEAN COUNTY, New Jersey (WABC) – A woman in Ocean County who tested positive for COVID-19 on her 105th birthday last month has recovered and now has a few words of advice.

Lucia DeClerck said Tuesday she feels great.

She has now gone through two World Wars and two pandemics, and at the age of 105 she is even mastering Zoom.

So, what’s her secret?

‘I have no secret; I’m just praying, praying, praying – and not eating junk food, ‘DeClerck said.

Her family said she survived three cardiologists and three men, and joked that she must be made of steel.

DeClerck says she believes ingrained raisins have helped keep her disease-free.

She is now fully vaccinated against COVID and says she will continue her daily prayers for all.
