- A hacker known for data mining says he obtained some Switch Pro specifications from Nintendo’s own firmware.
- The long-awaited Nintendo Switch Pro console will have an OLED screen, a new processor, better cooling and better battery life.
- The console also enables 4K games when docked, as the dock itself is powered by another processor.
Some analysts looking to the years ahead speculate that Nintendo will release the Switch Pro at some point in 2021, sooner rather than later. Some of these analysts were wrong last year with similar predictions. But even though Nintendo likes to shoot Switch Pro rumors every now and then, these rumors do exist.
A better version of the console that sold better last year than the PlayStation and Xbox should be in development, especially now that the PS5 and Xbox Series X have arrived. A new leak reveals details not found in other recent Switch Pro rumors, including specs suggesting that 4K games on the console will be possible.

A well-known console hacker and data miner based on SciresM found several clues about the Switch Pro. According to the hacker, Nintendo has been working on the new model for two years. The firmware apparently indicates that the Switch Pro, codenamed Aula, will support 4K games. The device can support both doctored and handy games and works on a Mariko system-on-chip (SoC). According to the learner, the chip will provide better cooling and battery life.
The Switch Pro tablet has an OLED screen, which will be a major upgrade. It is unclear if it will support 4K games in manual mode. The dock can shake a Realtek disk that is advertised as a “4K UHD multimedia SoC” that can activate 4K games when the console is docked.
This is the best Switch Pro leak we’ve gotten so far, although the information extracted from the firmware does not give us the full specifications of the Switch Pro.
Then there is also a Switch Pro leak that looks too good to be true. This is the following image that provides various Switch Pro details from a typing ‘internal document’:

The image says the Switch Pro will cost 256 GB of storage, 4K support and $ 399. A preview preview is due in mid-April, and the document also includes a number of alleged games for the Switch and Switch Pro.
If the launch of the Switch Pro is planned for the first half of this year, we’ll probably see more rumors of more reliable sources that Nintendo is likely to refuse to entertain. But Nintendo will also have to announce the device at some point in the coming months if the launch of the Switch Pro is planned for the first half of the year.
