The Nintendo Switch wants to receive a port of a relatively popular action RPG within the next month. The information comes on the official website of Nintendo, although the announcement of the game has not yet been confirmed by the corresponding developer or publisher.
The specific game mentioned that can come to Switch is that of Kingdom Come: Liberation. The title was developed by Warhorse Studios and was only released on consoles and computers in 2018, but has never come to Switch. The way Kingdom is coming for Switch was leaked via Nintendo’s Japanese website which mentions the game that it will appear on the platform next month on February 18, 2021.
The list for Kingdom Come: Liberation on Nintendo’s website, however, it’s a bit peculiar in one important respect. The game is specifically referred to as the Royal edition, which is a version of the game that did not arrive on other platforms. There is a chance that this may just be the specific name of this port on Switch, but it remains to be seen.
One thing that is also important to note with this potential release is that it may not be a direct haven if we assume it is real. Some mentioned it because of Kingdom is coming If you’re working on the CryEngine, it might be a little harder to bring to Switch than other games would be. In the past, however, Nintendo has given users the option to play games via the cloud rather than downloading it to the hardware originally. An example of this is specifically with Control which was released on Switch last year, but could only be played through the cloud. As Kingdom is coming a difficult game was to transfer to the platform, Warhorse could have preferred to go this route instead.
