Nintendo Switch Leak Announces Return of Classic 1999 Game

Nintendo Switch is reported to be getting one of the best games soon in 1999. It has been a slow few months for Switch and Switch lite users in terms of new game releases, and this was mostly true for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. In the coming months, however, that will change. In fact, not only will notable games be released on Nintendo consoles again, but it also looks like they will soon get one of the best games in 1999 as well.

According to the official South Korean judging panel, which reviews games for release in the region, SNK vs Capcom: The Match of the Millennium comes after both the Switch and Switch Lite. The rating does not announce a release date or anything else of the striking range, but it’s the first we’ve heard of a Nintendo Switch port for the classic Neo Geo Pocket Color game.

Over the past few years, SNK has been gradually bringing its Neo Geo Pocket Color games to the few consoles, so it’s not very surprising to see that it’s finally getting around to transferring SNK vs Capcom: The Match of the Millennium. As the name suggests, it is a crossover fighting game with both SNK and Capcom characters that was not only one of the highest rated games of its year, but also one of the highest rated games in the nineties.

At the time of publication, there was no official word of the game coming to Switch and Switch Lite, but the South Korean rating board would not rate the game for the console pair unless it came to the console pair. That said, at the moment, neither Nintendo nor SNK have confirmed the leak. If that changes, we’ll update the story accordingly.
