Nintendo Switch Deals: Get a $ 20 Gift Card with New Switch Lite

Ars Technica

The current Dealmaster is at the forefront of a notable deal on the Nintendo Switch Lite. As of this writing, those who buy the Nintendo portable game console for the normal amount of $ 199 can receive another $ 20 credit in the store at no extra cost.

At GameStop and Best Buy, it comes in the form of an e-gift card that is emailed to you after your purchase. At Amazon, you must use the code “8RLOZI4Z5INC” to pay a $ 20 promotional credit, either at checkout or through a drop-down menu on the Switch Lite product page. Amazon will then apply the credit to your account within seven days. Please note that Amazon’s terms and conditions state that the credit will expire 60 days after it is applied, so you will want to spend it shortly after you take advantage of the transaction. Either way, this is a great opportunity for those interested in the console to pick up a handy bonus, as traditional discounts on the Switch Lite have been extremely rare since the device was launched at the end of 2019.

As a refresher, the Switch Lite is the lighter and more portable version of Nintendo’s ultra-popular gaming machine. It offers a 5.5-inch screen compared to the 6.2-inch panel of the standard Switch and weighs about 30 percent less. The main functional difference is that it is a completely portable machine – the “Joy-Con” controllers are not removable, it does not have a kick stand or vibration motor and can not be connected to a TV or monitor. The smaller size means it also loses a bit of battery life compared to the latest model of the normal switch – about 3-7 hours here, compared to 4.5-9 hours on the larger model. But the rest of its internal hardware is virtually identical to the regular switch, meaning it can play the same library of games without compromising performance (games that require a stand-alone Joy-Con to play despite).

In addition, the Lite screen has the same 720p resolution as before, it adds a true d-pad (which is much more comfortable), and its face buttons are softer and less noisy. The main thing is that it is $ 100 cheaper than the larger model. All things considered, Aryle’s Senior Gaming editor Kyle Orland calls the Switch Lite ‘the best portable system Nintendo has ever made’ in our launch review. So if you do not plan to use the Switch on your TV, want to save money, and do not wait to see what Nintendo’s rumored “Switch Pro” model will look like, it’s worth it to buy.

However, if you do not want to buy a new switch, we also have the best choice among wireless sound-canceling headphones, excellent indoor security cameras and game chapters for those on a budget, the latest Roku media streamer from Roku, Lego sets, and much more more.
