Nintendo Direct: Zelda, Splatoon 3 and Everything Announced

Skyward Sword comes to Switch.

Nintendo

After a surprisingly quiet holiday 2020 period, Wednesday announced a roadmap for the next six months of Switch. It was a blizzard of new game announcements, with two revelations. First a remastered Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will hit the Switch on July 15th. Splatoon 3 has been announced – but unlike all the other stuff on Wednesday’s Nintendo Direct, it will be released next year.

The show was also not absent from Mario. Mario Golf Super Rush, the iconic plumber’s third golf trip, appears on June 25.

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD

Skyward Sword was originally released on the Wii in 2011 and will come to the Switch in July with custom Joy-Con motion controls in which the controllers become a sword and a shield. Do not worry: you can only play the old way with buttons.

Splatoon 3

A splatoon 3 that looks nasty is coming to Switch next year. It was the final announcement of the presentation and the only match to appear next year.

Mario Golf Super Rush

Mario Golf Super Rush is the third sporting adventure on the Switch to tennis and the Olympics with Sonic. It will be launched in June.
