Wednesday’s Nintendo Direct
Nintendo
The past six months have usually been quiet for Nintendo. His big holiday releases were Super Mario 3D All-Stars, a collection of three remastered games, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, a standout from Zelda. Will the next six months be different? We’re about to find out.
Nintendo Direct, a presentation on which the Japanese gaming giant will announce which games you will be playing on your Switch in the first half of 2021, is currently available.
How to watch
This one is simple: Right here!
If YouTube is not your thing, you can also watch Nintendo Direct on Twitch or its Nintendo website.
What to expect
Nintendo says we will see news Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – probably the next character public – On top of that, we’ll probably be researching the new Pokémon Snap well scheduled for release on April 30. We can also see that Retro Star Wars game Republic Commando is coming to Switch. But this is a 50-minute presentation, longer than last year Nintendo Direct Mini, so we expect at least one juicy revelation.
It’s possible we’ll get more DLC Pokémon Sword and Shield, as the second of the two previously announced expansion packs has been released last october. And with the last few Mario versions being remasters – 3D All-Stars and the Wii Us earlier this month 3D World – our favorite plumber must have a new adventure. Of course there is always the possibility that we will see more Breath of the Wild 2 or even Metroid Prime 4.
There’s a chance that announcing ” something more ” may not be a game at all. The rumor mill has been around for many months whispers spread of a new, Nintendo-compatible Nintendo Switch. Not Turn on Lite, but switch on heavily. (It will absolutely not be called that.)
