Nintendo just announced that it bought Next Level Games, which put the developers behind titles like Luigi’s Mansion 3, Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon and the Super Mario Strikers series.

According to Nintendo’s announcement, the deal is expected to be finalized in March, and will ensure the availability of NLG development resources for Nintendo.

For me I read it and can only see “it’s time for more Super Mario Strikers, my guys. ”

The history of NLG to work directly with Nintendo dates back to the earliest days of the studio when it was released Super Mario Strikers on the GameCube in 2005. Other games released by the Canadian developer for Nintendo include Metroid Prime: Federation Force on the 3DS and 2009s Punch-Out !! remake on the Wii.
