Nintendo Announces Two Famicom Detective Club Remakes for Switch

Two old-school murder-mystery games are coming to Nintendo Switch. Famicom Detective Club: the missing heir and Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Behind will release new remakes on May 14, Nintendo announced during its Nintendo Direct event in February.

In The missing heir, players will solve a murder mystery in a ghostly village involving a wealthy family while dealing with their own memory loss. Meanwhile in The girl standing behind, players will go to a Japanese school to investigate a supernatural rumor surrounding the mysterious death of a student.

These two detective games were originally released for the Famicom disk system in the late 80’s and let players explore puzzles with text-based missions. You can explore different places, explore items or interview the characters of the game. Both games have been completely updated with modern graphics, gameplay and voice acting, but retain the same puzzles as their original versions.

Both Famicom Detective Club games are available on Nintendo Switch on May 14 and can now be pre-ordered in the eShop.
