Nikki Haley learns that Trump is not halfway

She literally just said it – recently in an interview with Tim Alberta of Politico. Here is the quote:

“I think what we need to do is take the good he has built, leave the bad he has done, and return to a place where we can be a good, valuable and effective party. “

Make sense! Except that there’s a 0% chance that Trump – or the base he commands – will cooperate with the plan.

Witness this Politico Thursday afternoon report:

“Nikki Haley on Wednesday issued former President Donald Trump a request for a seat at Mar-a-Lago, but a well-known trust in Playbook that he turned her down. The two have not spoken since the uprising at 6 p.m. January, when Haley Trump exploded as he incited his supporters to storm the Capitol. ‘

Look, there is no halfway with Trump. No way to adapt to him, but also to give up the ugly things – like his actions (and inactivity) during the American riot in the Capitol on January 6.

You are EVERYTHING on Trump or he considers you all – and therefore it is an honest game to a) be ignored or b) attacked. And the only way to keep everything inside is to fully support him for every thing he says and does. No questions asked.

So Haley’s strategy may make sense to her (or on paper), but in the real world, she’s going to have to make a choice: are you with Trump or not?

The point: Whether Trump himself will run again in 2024, the fundamental question that every candidate who elects will have to answer is whether they will go with Trump or not. There is no in between.
