Nightfall is a sequel mode with a lot of promise

Here is a solid piece of play for this upcoming Dark Souls: Remastered mod

The creator of the famous Daughters of Ash mod vir Dark souls is back with an even bigger and braver project, made with a group, and they released an 18 minute game preview. The project, Dark Souls: Nightfall, is a “direct sequel” that begins with a leap in faith in the furnace of the first flame, just where Gwyn was killed in the original end by the chosen undead.

Nagval promises “a new story, new battle system, new world map, and more.”

To put it bluntly, the assets in this mod are not entirely new, but the creators and collaborators – Grimrukh, AinTunez, Meowmaritu, horkrux, Dane Brennand, wulf2k, Souv, ZullieTheWitch, Itzli and Martin Billany – do it all . they can make Nagval feel clear and fresh for fans.

These include story-motivated game mechanics (like a crazy look), outspoken NPCs, ‘faster’ battles, enemies that have been re-textured and given ‘heavily modified animations’, and a world that is partly Lordran as we know it and partly new zones built from “existing map pieces.”

The preview material demonstrates all of these elements. Aside from the Blistering Demon and the potential for other challenging boss fights to try, I’m most interested in the time – changing features of Gwyn’s Pendant, a ‘Medade with Remnants of the First Flame’. At the beginning of Nagval, a text message says ‘twelve ash blocks left’ about ten minutes later ominously warns another message that there are still eleven left, and the player uses Gwyn’s Pendant to go back in time.

The description of the pendant indicates that “only the [player’s] memories and special possessions “will bring back the journey that fans have already been caught up in. They speculate about a time-based Nagval not different Majora’s masks. If this is true, it would be the mind of the mind.

Nagval does not have a release date, but you can do so with a copy of Dark Souls: Remastered.
