Nicola Coughlan Bridgerton Easter Egg Revealed on Twitter

By this time I would hope you had the mind to magnify the glory that is there Bridgerton, but if you do not have it, you better turn away now, because there are big spoilers below !!

Well, a while ago, Nicola Coughlan – aka Penelope Featherington – tweeted that she included a somewhat large Easter egg in the first episode of the show.

Ok, I’m just curious, did anyone spot the massive Easter egg on Penelope in the first scene of Bridgerton?

Now, as someone who has read all the books and cracked the series more than once, I want to think of myself as the resident of BuzzFeed Bridgerton authority. But dear reader, even I did not notice this hidden gem.

When fans began to hypothesize in the responses, Nicola responded to one specific tweet and OMG:

I immediately signed up for Netflix and found that the first moment that Penelope appears on screen in the launch of the program, well, watch for yourself.

Will I zoom in?

Yip! A giant feather pen. (Feathered … Featheringtons, teehee.)

Anyone who has seen the last episode of Season 1 knows that Penelope was revealed as Lady Whistledown, so if a feather pen is an extremely appropriate symbol, if I may say so myself.

And of course Nicola thought so too. ‘I decided on a prop for the scene where you see Penelope for the first time. It happened to be a giant feather that looked a lot like … a feather pen ‘, she said. shared on Twitter.

After dropping the golden goose of an Easter egg, Nicola shared another nice thing:

If you look again, there are many small tips in it, let me know if you notice more and I can confirm / deny 💛

More?!?! Okay, coolcoolcoolcoolcoolcoolcoolcool, I think I should go check it out for the fourth time (I say as if I’m not going to do exactly that).
