NICKMERCS explains why he avoids Warzone tournaments due to “dirty” players

After being leaked through a list of Microsoft Store, it has now been confirmed that fans can try Black Ops Cold War Zombies for free from January 14 to January 21, 2021. Here is what we know about it.

Free access weekends are nothing new to Call of Duty’s standard multiplayer. Occasionally, Activision will allow players to try out a small variety of the latest multiplayer maps and modes for a short period of time, with the obvious hope that it will enable them to purchase the entire game.

While this is normal for multiplayer (which has happened several times with Modern Warfare and once in Black Ops Cold War), the same cannot be said for Zombies mode as it is usually kept locked up in the full version . It looks like this is going to change.

According to Activision, fans who do not have the game will have free access to the Zombies mode from January 14 to January 21, 2021. It is best that fans have access to two separate modes during the free weekend: the standard The Machine experience and the new mode Cranked.

PlayStation players also get access to Onslaught, a mode exclusive to the platform that allows two players to fight the dead on multiplayer cards.

Dead Ops Arcade 3 in particular is not absent from the weekend, a fan-under-favorite variant of the traditional Zombies mode. While this is a bit disappointing, it does make sense, as it is considered more of a bonus experience rather than one on the same level as the other.

How To Download Black Ops Cold War Zombies Free Access

Activision / Microsoft

Players will soon be able to download the Zombies Free Access app via their platform store.

At the moment, the download link for the BOCW Zombies Free Access is not yet available, which means there is no way to download the application at this time. It is unknown whether the link will be available early, which will give players a chance to download it, and whether they will have to wait until the 14th.

That said, Treyarch has basically confirmed that it should be as easy as just searching for it, downloading the application from the Xbox, PlayStation or Battle.net stores and then playing like any other free weekend.

Once more concrete details are available, we will of course update this article with step-by-step instructions to help fans who may want to get their hands on it. Hopefully it will not take too long before it is available.
