The 40-year-old presenter was fired from the program last July for making anti-Semitic remarks during an episode of his podcast, after which he apologized and held meetings with prominent members of the Jewish community to learn.
“Nick not only apologized and took responsibility for his comments, but he also worked to educate himself and others through involvement with Jewish leaders and on his platforms,” a spokesman for MTV Entertainment Group told Entertainment Tonight .

Sorry: “Nick not only apologized and took responsibility for his comments, but he also worked to educate himself and others through involvement with Jewish leaders and on his platforms,” a MTV Entertainment Group spokesman told Entertainment Tonight said.
“These efforts are of the utmost importance and that is why we invited him to rejoin our team.”
Production of new seasons of the program is expected to resume later this year and iterations of previous episodes have been added to the program schedule.
Nick had earlier insisted that he never intended to spread ‘hatred and propaganda’ against Jewish people.

He said: ‘I know how you could take many of the things I said as hatred and propaganda, but that was never my heart and my intention.
“I talked about how incredibly black people were, but it hurt so many people who were not part of the community, while I tried to encourage and uplift my own community.”
‘The Masked Singer’ host extended his ‘deepest and most sincere apologies’ following the backlash over his comments, when he admitted that he was ignorant and uneducated on the subject of anti-Semitism.

He said in part in a lengthy statement on social media: ‘I want to express my sincere and heartfelt apologies to my Jewish sisters and brothers for the hurtful and divisive words that came out of my mouth during my interview with Richard Griffin.
‘They have reinforced the worst stereotypes of a proud and magnificent people and I feel ashamed of the uninformed and naive place where these words come from. The video of this interview has since been removed.
“I am committed to deeper connections, more in-depth learning and the strengthening of the bond between our two cultures today and every day going forward.”
