After a successful beta run, Niagara Launcher, third-party replacement program, launched on the stable channel last month. However, the developers of the app did not include any new features in the first stable version to ensure a smooth transition. To compensate for the lack of new features, the developers are now developing Niagara Launcher v1.1, which includes an updated weather widget, new animations and more.
According to a recent report on the latest update from Niagara Launcher, the revamped weather widget offers support for rain and snow forecasts of 30 minutes, shorter refresh intervals of 30 to 60 minutes, a longer forecast period of 8 days and other subtle adjustments. The new 30-minute rain forecast feature is supported in most regions except Africa, and it contains predicted data to prevent you from getting stuck in rain or snow.

The shorter refresh intervals, on the other hand, dynamically update the forecast every 30 to 60 minutes, based on current weather conditions to increase accuracy. Despite the shorter update interval, Niagara Launcher never shuts down your phone and has no significant impact on the battery of your phone. With the longer forecast range, you can check the weather forecast for the next seven days, and the hourly forecast now also includes weather conditions for the next day.
Longer prediction series
Furthermore, the Niagara Launcher weather device now shows sunrise and sunset on the hourly weather forecast, it contains daily weather descriptions and additional weather icons for a more accurate forecast, and it has a new option to automatically select a fixed location for more accurate results.
New app animations
Along with the updated weather widget, Niagara Launcher v1.1 offers new app animations, a battery charging indicator, a new widget settings page, and a transparent screenshot feature that allows you to take screenshots of the launcher without the background.
