Cape Kakko MSG Network did not participate in the series for a 4-1 victory over the Washington Capitals on Saturday and will be placed on the NHL COVID-19 protocol list.

The forward scored a shooting goal in a 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday. He has scored three points (two goals, one assist) in 14 games this season.

Forward Julien Gauthier, who was a healthy scratch on Thursday, replaced Kakko in the series.

Defender K’Andre Miller returns to the series after missing the last two games with a torso injury.

Senators from Ottawa

Marcus Hogberg will be 1-2 weeks out with a lower body injury.

The goalkeeper lost 12 minutes Thursday in the first period of 7-3 against the Toronto Maple Leafs, after allowing one goal on five shots.

“[Hogberg] will be out for a week or so, probably a few weeks, ‘coach DJ Smith said on Saturday.

Hogberg is 2-5-0 with a 4.34 goals to average and 0.859 save percentage in ten games (seven starts) this season.

Joey Daccord was recalled from Belleville of the American Hockey League and assigned to the taxi team on Saturday. He is expected to back up Matt Murray against the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday (19:00 ET; SN, RDS, NHL.TV).

Smith said it Thomas Chabot will be a playtime decision on Sunday. The defender did not play on Thursday and also did not train on Saturday due to a torso injury.
