During his career as an NFL receiver, fans regularly watched on TV that Chris Hogan was a lacrosse player – not a football player – in Penn State. Now Hogan becomes a licorice player again.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Hogan has declared for the Premier Lacrosse League draft.
The decision to play lacrosse again may be due to the realization that at age 33, he has no NFL chance. Last year, he played for the Jets until a sprained ankle in October. He was released from the injured reserve in December and has been a free agent ever since.
After ending his lacrosse career at Penn State, Hogan played one season of football at Monmouth, New Jersey and did well enough to record with the 49ers in 2011 as an unknown free agent. He then spent time with the Giants and Dolphins before joining the Bills in 2012. He signed with the Patriots in 2016 and won two Super Bowl rings before completing his career with the Panthers in 2019 and the Jets in 2020. .
