NFL Rumors: Eagles QB Jalen Hurts Worked While Working with a Free Agent Receiver

After an unexpectedly turbulent off-season, Jalen Hurts is the only fullback on the Eagles series as the league year begins on Monday, making him the de facto QB1.

Eagles fans seem to be torn apart or excited about Hurts being the team’s long-term starting QB, but the second-year QB is doing the work to make sure, if he does, the first week of the first time , he will be ready.

Hurts is in Texas this week working with several NFL receivers, including current Eagles-wide Greg Ward Jr., and … former Eagles-wide receiver Nelson Agholor ?!

What?

Here’s 48 seconds of footage of their workouts that Ward uploaded to his Instagram on Sunday – with some of the videos tilted because the technology is like this:

If you are willing to tilt your head or your phone, you can watch a series of short, intermediate and deep balls from Hurts to Ward and Agholor.

Oh, and guess who’s a free agent from Monday? It would be Agholor.

Is a reunion reunion at work? Hmm.

It’s hard to say if he would be willing to return to Philadelphia, even if there is a new head coach and quarterback in the city. Honestly, he would be a welcome addition to an Eagles WR corps in dire need of good, young talent.

Agholor signed a $ 1,477 million deal with the Raiders last season and achieved a career year and 48 passes for 896 yards and 8 TDs. He looked like a brand new man, joining Derek Carr and becoming a legal deepball threat.

There is even a chance that Agholor played so well in 2020 that the Eagles can no longer afford him. However, Howie Roseman never counts out.

The Eagles drafted Agholor 20th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft. He scored 224 passes for 2,515 yards and 18 TDs in 71 games with the Eagles in the regular season, and in the 2017 offseason caught 15 passes for 167 yards en route to the Eagles’ Super Bowl victory. But bad drops and inconsistent play caught up with him, and the team chose to go on last season.

Agholor holds an interesting place in Eagles history. We’ll see if he gets another chance to tell his story.
