NFL Insider Suggests Patriots Can Trade CB Now

JC Jackson may now have a contract for 2021, but that does not necessarily mean he will be with the New England Patriots next season.

The cornerback signed his limited tender for free agents in the second round on Friday, meaning teams can no longer give him a listing sheet. Doug Kyed, reported on NESN.com, reported the news Friday afternoon and the team later made it official with Jackson himself the news confirms on Instagram.

But NFL insider Ian Rapoport theorizes that Jackson could finally trade.

â ???? That’s not the end of the story, because even though it does not mean he’s going to sign the free agency brochure or free agency brochure with someone, it does not necessarily mean he’s going to be on the team next year, Said Rapoport. ‘What the team could do, and we saw it a few years ago with Malcolm Butler and the Patriots, is that they could offer a lower concept than a second player to possibly trade for JC Jackson. An industry that is also accompanied by an extension of the contract. I would expect this to happen at some point in conversations of other teams.â ????

This does not necessarily mean that Jackson will definitely be traded, but the door to this is very open.
