NFL Draft: What will it cost Dallas to pick up to 4?

Rumors began to surface that the Atlanta Falcons were in talks with several teams over the fourth overall pick in the draft.

The New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys sneaked in front of the reservations. The Patriots are obviously in the market for their next franchise quarter.

The Cowboys have just paid their franchise quarterback – Dak Prescott. It is therefore unlikely that a quarterback has a chance of finding their way to Dallas. Recent reports, however, indicate that owner Jerry Jones has become fascinated with former Florida teammate Kyle Pitts.

Currently in Dallas, there are Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup, Blake Jarwin and Dalton Shultz who are all expected to play roles in the Cowboys’ passing game in 2021. return seasons of more than 50 catches.

Here are some options Cowboys can go for if they want to get serious about making the six-slot jump.

  • Option 1: select exchange + select 44 | Return: select 4, 148
  • Option 2: select exchange + select 75, 99, 115 | Back: select 4
  • Option 3: Select Swap + Michael Gallup + 179 | Back: select 4

Option one is to swap the picks and throw in your second round at 44. According to Drafttek, the choice of Atlanta is valued at 1800 points while the 10de overall pick lies at 1300. The Cowboys ’second round will still leave them 20 points ashamed, but that probably won’t matter in the big thing.

It may not be certain that you can move the Hawks to include their fifth round, especially if the Patriots are involved in the bid war, but it’s worth a chance.

Option two is just so you can keep two top-50 talents out of this concept. However, you will have to give up two thirds and a fourth to do so.

Option three is for Michael Gallup to be sent off and essentially replaced by Kyle Pitts. Gallup is in the final year of its deal and may have already praised itself from a return to Dallas. Gallup is a second receiver and it’s hard to imagine Dallas having the funds to bring back someone of his caliber.

Gallup will increase more than Atlanta’s reception, except for Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, Hunter Henry and Russell Gage.

However, Kyle Pitts is not the only player worth considering in the top-5. The Cincinnati Bengals are strongly associated with Tackle Penei Sewell. Both the left-back and center-back are currently open competition, according to head coach Mike McCarthy.

Tyron Smith has also dealt his fair share of injuries – not to mention in a few years, his cut will reach $ 17 million in the last two years of the deal.

Whether it’s Kyle Pitts or Penei Sewell, you have to ask yourself whether Dallas should be offensive in the first round at all given how poorly we saw the defense perform last season?

Dallas lost both Xavier Woods and Chidobe Awuzie as free agency.
