NFL Draft 2021: Giants’ Aid to Daniel Jones on Daniel Jeremiah’s NFL Network’s First Shadow Projections

For the fourth consecutive year, the New York Giants possess a top-15 pick in the NFL draft.

And for the fourth year in a row, they will use their best choice to help the offense.

This is what Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network is projecting for the Giants in his first mockery.

No. 11: Jaylen waggel WR, Alabama

The Giants are all with Daniel Jones and now they must give him weapons on the outside.

It’s no secret that the Giants need to add pieces around Jones. And they certainly spent a lot of draft supplies on the offense, with the running Saquon Barkley no. 2 in 2018, Jones no. 6 in 2019 and tackle Andrew Thomas at no. 4 in 2020.

The best wide receivers in the NFL draft in 2021 are Ja’Marr Chase of the LSU and Waddle’s Alabama teammate, Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith. Jeremiah projects Chase to the Miami Dolphins at No. 3 and Smith to the Detroit Lions at No. 7.

As for the top of the draft, after the Jacksonville Jaguars selected Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence at No. 1, Jeremiah gave the New York Jets a surprising pick at No. 2: BYU fullback Zach Wilson.

In another miracle, Jeremiah defeated the Atlanta Falcons who lined up QB Trey Lance, North Dakota, at No. 4. Jeremiah projects Ohio quarterback Justin Fields to drop to Carolina 8 at no.
