Next week free COVID-19 testing in several provinces

Anyone concerned about being exposed to COVID-19 could be tested for free next week at one of several sites in Santa Clara County, province health officials said.

Both appointments and test tests will be available on different days next week in San Jose, Gilroy, Los Altos Hills, Mountain View, Cupertino, Campbell and Palo Alto, according to health officials. Health officials recommend the test to anyone who has been exposed.

“There is a light at the end of the tunnel through the vaccinations that have started,” said dr. Marty Fenstersheib, the COVID-19 testing and vaccination officer of the country, said in a statement.

“But that does not mean we can watch,” Fenstersheib said. “The positivity rate is ten times lower than it was just two months ago – COVID-19 is more common in the community than ever before. Anyone who believes they have been exposed should be quarantined and tested.”

In addition to the seven-day Santa Clara County Fairgrounds site and the standing inlets in San Jose and Gilroy, there will be rotating test sites in Los Altos Hills, Mountain View, Cupertino, Campbell and Palo Alto next week. There will also be additional opportunities to drop in at San Ysidro Park in Gilroy and the Public Health Story Road Hub in east San Jose.

Next week, COVID-19 Province testing will only take place at locations in Los Altos Hills, Mountain View, Cupertino, Campbell and Palo Alto. Visit www.sccfreetest.org seven days before the appointment to make an appointment.

Appointments are also available five days in advance at the Fairgrounds in San Jose.
