FORECAST SUMMARY

We are watching some very isolated and very patchy freezing rain for your Monday afternoon. This will cause ice on roads and sidewalks for the few places it gets in the afternoon.

The highs will be just below freezing on Monday.

In the evening, towards the end of the rush hour, more places will start to see the icy weather.

Between about 6pm Monday to 6pm Tuesday you would like to stay off the roads.

The icy rain was widespread on Monday night and it will take hours. So it will be quite icy on Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Some places like the counties of Philly and Bucks, Montgomery and Chester will switch to normal rain after 2am.

The icy rain and regular rain ends Tuesday morning during rush hour, but it will still be an icy commute for much of the area due to all the ice we get overnight.

The National Weather Service has many warnings about the winter weather to warn everyone about the widespread icy weather Monday night.

By Tuesday afternoon we are dry. We will even see some sun at sunset.
