Sports illustrated | Max Goodman: One of the Yankees’ best prospects is to just turn heads in camp for a few days. Austin Wells, last year’s first round pick, impressed Aaron Boone with his striking skill and power. Boone calls Wells “as strong as anyone in the camp” and “a man (who) likes to hit.” His position in the field has yet to be determined, but Wells’ bat should be nice on the Yankees in a few years.

His pitching coach and manager offered their perspective on Kluber’s personality, as well as how they think the two-time Cy Young Awards winner will help the team in 2021.

García spoke at length about how to better read opposing hitters, what it was like to make his dreams come true and how he was set up for the 2021 season. García is in a competition with Domingo Germán and Clarke Schmidt for the Yankees’ fifth starting spot behind Cole, Kluber, Taillon and Jordan Montgomery.
