Kidney‘s upcoming remaster – formally titled Kidney Replicator ver. 1,22474487139… – has a new expanded trailer ahead of the game’s launch on April 23 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
The trailer is in Japanese, so it’s for hardcore Kidney fans (is there another type?), but even if you are not fluent in the language, the trailer features the film, combat and world design of the game. Toylogic takes over the recovery project for publisher Square Enix.
Chris Plante, Polygon’s resident Kidney obsessively, remarked in December that the look and feel of the Kidney Games kept a lot of potential fans out of the Kidney universe. ‘So is the remastered Kidney Replicator ver. 1,22474487139… has the opportunity “to break the barrier with a more visually extravagant and mechanically welcoming experience.”
Kidney launched in April 2010 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; she continued, Kidney: Automata, was developed by PlatinumGames and launched in 2017.
