New title of Resident Evil Film officially unveiled

The official title for director Johannes Roberts’ upcoming Resident Evil movie will be officially named ‘Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City’. IGN learned the official title of the upcoming film itself from Roberts during an interview during SXSW’s online event. Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is an adaptation of the first two Resident Evil games and will include main characters from both titles, including Chris and Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine and Leon S. Kennedy.Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, set in 1998, will tell the story of the city under siege of infected zombies. Both the mansion of Resident Evil 1 and the city itself and the police station of Resident Evil 2 will be present in the film.

There are a lot of Resident Evil movies and adaptations in the works, so to clear the air, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is a new remake of the movie that is completely unrelated to the franchise previously run by Paul WS Anderson not directed and starring Mila Jovovich. .
