New Silent Hill game reportedly released by Japanese developer

Multiple Silent Hill projects may be underway at third-party developers, according to speculation by Medium developer comments, Bloober Team, as well as a VideoGamesChronicle report. In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Bloober Team said it was working “another horror IP” with a “very well-known publisher.” Fans began to speculate by compiling the two newspapers that Bloober Team might be working on a Silent Hill project.“(We) have been working on another game project, another horror IP, for over a year, and we’re doing it with a very well known game publisher,” said Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno. told GamesIndustry.biz. “I can not tell you who. I can not tell you what the project is, but I’m pretty sure if people realize we’re working on it, they’ll be very excited.”

VGC sources told the publication that Konami, the publisher with the rights to the Silent Hill franchise, has already outsourced a Silent Hill project to a leading Japanese developer and that it will be announced this summer. If this is accurate, coupled with the speculation surrounding Bloober Team, several Silent Hill projects may appear to be underway.

It’s important to note that the idea that Bloober Team is working on a Silent Hill contest is not confirmed and that it’s more speculative as fans combine Babieno’s comments and VCG’s report on several Silent Hill projects to to create theory.
