New rumor makes the next OnePlus Nord phone sound pretty affordable

OnePlus has a few phones in the pipeline, and we expect to see three of them (read: OnePlus 9 series) before the end of March. However, there will not be a half-year gap between this and the next OnePlus phone, as the OnePlus Nord successor is expected to be announced in Q2 2021.

According to new information, the phone will be called – you already recommend it – the Nord 2. There is not much we know about the phone, but one new piece of information that the report reveals is that it may not be with a Qualcomm processor is not equipped. Instead, the device will presumably contain the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 unveiled in January.

When used, the SoC could represent a significant leap from the Snapdragon 765G used in the original Nord. This is based on a 6nm manufacturing process and has support for 5G dual SIM dual assistance. Given the increase in processing power, it will be interesting to see how OnePlus prices and positions the phone in terms of the rumored OnePlus 9 and the 9 Series as a whole.
