New release date for Pokémon Snap announced in the latest trailer

New Pokémon Snap was announced for Nintendo Switch last year and then we heard absolutely nothing about it. So far it is.

A new trailer has dropped for the game, showing more of the game and announcing the release date, which is not too far – April 30.

The game looks a lot like the iconic original Nintendo 64 game, with an on-rails path with beautiful monsters to take pictures of. There are ways to deal with them, such as throwing food at them to eat (or setting fire, as Torchic does in one) adorable moment).

At the end of each phase a professor will judge your photos and give you a terrible score because they do not appreciate good composition (we know it’s not directly in the middle, Oak, it’s cinematic!).

One new feature is called the Illumina phenomenon, which for some reason makes Pokémon glow.

We do not know if this is the only new feature, or if more will be monitored for now, but it is a new Pokémon Snap game, and we are indeed very excited.

2021 is the 25th anniversary of the whole Pokémon franchise, with many planned. As well as plenty of merchandise, a musical collaboration with stars like Katy Perry announced, while the versions of Nintendo DS entries Diamond and pearl is already loud rumors.

New Pokémon Snap will be released exclusively on April 30 on Nintendo Switch.
