New Pokemon Snap game reveals new features

The gameplay of the new Pokémon Snap has revealed new features, including tools, photo editing, and more. During today’s Pokémon Presents broadcast, the game featured the game’s photo editing mode, allowing you to edit, decorate, and share your snaps. Photos can be judged by other players online, and even submitted by the developers.AI points for shots have been shown to be rated on Pose, Size, Direction, Placement, Other Pokémon and Background, which award both a score and a star rating. Photos will apparently also be used to fill out a Pokémon Photodex.

There are also new tools in the form of Illumina Orbs, items that can make Pokémon glow and change their elemental effects – presumably for higher photos. We also see fruit being thrown and melodies being played to elicit Pokémon new gestures.

The story of the game is not entirely clear, but we see how the mythical Pokémon Celebi passes at the end of the new trailer. New Pokemon Snap will be released on April 30th.
